What is the best open world video game that has ever been created

Open world games are my favorite genre. The sense of freedom while playing the game is extraordinary. I have ranked my favorite open-world games below. It considers freedom of doing things in the game, story, quests, and side quests, characters, soundtrack, and graphics.

  1. Red Dead Redemption 2: What can be better than roaming around in a massive open-world game as a cowboy with realistic game mechanics? Like always, Rockstar Games didn't fail to surprise.
  2. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Witcher series is my absolute favorite. Everything from graphics, the soundtrack to story and characters are on point. The gameplay is also fun. I actually enjoyed grinding more exp and doing all the side quests.
  3. Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim: Skyrim is a game that I have finished 3 times. The graphics are old for today's standards. Skyrim Special Edition improves the textures and lighting by a lot and graphics mods take the game to a whole new level.
  4. GTA 3: GTA is the of the best upcoming and old triple A game in the world and as we all know that is the one of the best open world Games. Today we’re looking at another installment of game-changers—the series where we discuss the video games that changed everything. Today we’ll be taking a look at grand theft auto 3.
  5.  Far Cry 5/3: Far Cry games are made for the players to experience nature at its best. Far Cry 5 shifted a little to the urban side but has natural environments still.
  6. Grand Theft Auto 5: GTA series as a whole is a pinnacle of open-world gaming. GTA 5 took a huge leap from its predecessors with multiple playable characters and multiple endings and it’s amazing.
  7. Assassin’s Creed OdysseyAssassin’s Creed games were the most popular stealth games back in the day until it started becoming way too repetitive. With Odyssey, the AC series took a different path by giving the player the freedom to play it like an RPG game.
  8. Minecraft: A game that takes sandbox games to a whole new level. In Minecraft, you can go anywhere you want, build anything you like, like literally. Redstone in Minecraft can be programmed like boolean gates in electronics. Some people have made a cellphone in Minecraft which can do video calls to the real world. Some people have made a whole Minecraft game inside Minecraft. That’s some crazy shit.
  9. Sleeping Dogs: One of the most underrated games of all time! Sleeping dogs has a masterpiece story, amazing characters and a beautiful open world in China.
  10. Just Cause 4/3Just Cause games are known for amazing horizontal and vertical freedom of mobility and destruction capabilities. This action-packed game is filled with stunts and explosive points everywhere.

Let me know what you think of my list and if I skipped any of your favorite open-world game in the comments.
